Robert Downey Jr. used the CrossCore® War Machine® to get into super shape for this summer’s The Avengers

What tools does Robert Downey Jr. use to get into super shape when it’s time to become Iron Man? Well, the CrossCore® War Machine® Rotational Bodyweight Trainer™ played a big part in this summer’s The Avengers as well as the 2010 blockbuster Iron Man 2. In order to gain 25 lbs. of muscle, Downey Jr.’s trainer, Brad Bose, put him on a 5,000 calorie per day diet and specially designed a muscle building workout routine including the CrossCore® War Machine® Rotational Bodyweight Trainer™, sandbags, kettlebells and a few other training tools.

CrossCore® Exercise Of The Day - Rotational Bicep Curl

Grab each handle and put your feet slightly in front of you to provide just enough resistance. Make sure to maintain enough angle throughout the exercise to provide enough resistance ...and keep slack out of the rope. Curl one arm in keeping your upper arm parallel with the floor. Return to the starting position and then alternate to the other arm. After 30 seconds remain in position and continue with both arms at the same time for an additional 30 seconds.
