What would be the best way to buy out a personal training client contract from a gym?
A gym owner contacted me to see if I'd be interested in training a woman in my target market. (The gym owner and have not signed a formal working agreement.) I accepted the client (training her in her home) and, due to a business-related issue between the gym owner and myself, I'd now like to formally take on this client as my own. What would be the best way to have this person become my sole client?
it is an off situation. I was wondering whether there is some kind of dispute between you and the gym owner.
It does not appear that you are under any obligation to him. Would it not be best if the contract with the gym would be canceled and you have your own contract with that lady.
You could pay the gym owner a referral fee if that's the way you operate with him.
Does this mean you had a dispute with the owner?
If you don't have a contract with the gym/owner of the gym and he asked you to train the client then I think it's ok to do just that
However, I always look at the big picture and don't burn bridges, one never knows who knows whom in this industry
