Career Definition: Exercise Physiologist
Exercise Physiologists monitor medical patients' blood pressure, heart rates, flexibility, strength and other physical attributes and create custom exercise plans to help the patients recover from their conditions. Once the exercise plans have been designed, the Exercise Physiologist then demonstrates the exercises and monitors the patients as they complete the exercises themselves. Exercise Physiologists can either work with patients individually or in a group setting and usually work in hospitals, gyms or physical therapy centers.
