All the pilates equipment that I own I purchased through STOTT Pilates and in my estimation they have high quality products.

I haven't had the opportunity to train others or myself on other manufacturers equipment, hence, I am a biased.

I have used both Balanced Body and STOTT equipment and prefer Balanced Body. I believe that BB is better designed and higher quality than STOTT, and the customer service is outstanding.

I have trained on Balanced Body and Allegro. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Balanced Body is taller as in when you sit on the reformer is like sitting in a chair. This can be good for clients who find it difficult to get on the ground or get low to the ground. This is tough because when you do a standing move it is a little scary because it feels really high.

While safe enough, a little confidence is needed here and of course don't do that kind of move unless the client has good balance.

Allegro is very low to the ground and for clients who have trouble getting on the ground it is a little challenging but doable. However, when doing the standing move it is not so scary and is a great move for inner outer thigh work.

Don't judge them on one move, but both are really good.
One more plus for Allegro is the footbar is much wider and softer on the feet.
Price, ease of use and service are comparable, either are a good choice.

I don't know about other products to comment.

I have used both STOTT and Balanced Body equipment. I prefer STOTT because the quality is much better, especially versus the Allegro. The V2Max is the best and allows so many options for all types of clients.

I am a huge fan of SPX Pilates on the Megaformer. I've used a modified Balanced Body reformer but it does not have the same bang for your buck as the Megaformer does. I like the STOTT equipment but have more experience on the Balanced Body equipment. So in order of preference: Megaformer, Balanced Body, STOTT.

I prefer and use Balanced Body equipment and have for over 10 years. The quality is exceptional and they continually add new features by listening to their customers. Things like the Jumpus Maximus jumpboard, the infinity footbar and the tower reformer combination. They also incorporate several spring tensions and adjustability so you can fit all shapes and sizes, kids to professional athletes. I couldn't work without my Balanced Body equipment.

I have worked on Balanced Body, Peak and Stott equipment and I have to say that I like Balanced Body the best. From its design to its comfort level. Great equipment to work out on as well as to teach with. Customer services is great as well.

Gratz equipment is very close to the original (I have been on Eve's reformer before in Santa Fe at Core Dynamics that Joe made for her). Heavy springs don't allow you to cheat and you get results quickly. Men do well on this equipment I find. I am also a fan of Basil. These options can be more pricey, but are excellent quality. I have also worked on Balanced Body, Peak and Stott. I was taught on Stott when I first began, however I would not purchase it for myself or if I had my own studio.

I have used and trained clients on Gratz, Balanced Body, and Peak apparatus. For my personal workouts, I prefer Gratz. The apparatus provides challenging workouts true to the classical method. For teaching clients, Balanced Body is a versatile tool. Balanced Body apparatus offers innumerable modifications various spring tensions, foot bar adjustments and many accessories) to accommodate all special populations and individual needs.
