Hi Franklin,
I have to thank you for your question because I realized that I have not been given this a lot of thought lately. My goals have - over the years - become moving targets and had to shift, partly out of necessity, partly because of changing priorities. I actually have a chronology of fitness goals.
In my twenties, I wanted to be the best Squash player I could be.
In my thirties, I needed to recover from shoulder surgeries (does anybody see the irony?) and wanted to find a way to maintain my ideal weight.
In my forties (I was by then a personal trainer), I wanted to lead my example and maintain my body in optimal shape.
Now, that I am in my fifties, the last goal is still valid even though the methods for accomplishing it have changed as I have widened my knowledge as to how to do it.

Sounds like you've gained a lot of knowledge over the years. Cheers for continuing to learn and grow!

My goal is to maintain a balanced level of fitness. This means being proportional and follwing recommended strength ratios for different muscle groups, as well has having a good capacity for aerobic exercise. I define my life by fitness education, and I enrich my life by putting that education to work in both my life and the lives of others.

All of the already given answers, although I probably won't run the Disney marathon. Strength, c-v fitness and flexibility, these are my goals. With amputated feet (frostbite) I'm pretty much limited to cycling as my c-v training, but it's a great way to see the country. Come for a ride!
Take care.
