Hi Laura -
I had a similar experience in the past. I learned to really verify such things in advance and choose well. Unfortunately, we won't find some of the best instructors at the big conferences because they don't fulfill the ACE requirements for education or other criteria for CECs for us. I encourage you to persist with ACE until you are clear on their reasoning. Good Luck!
