I would look at the area from L4 to S1.

I hear most often of herniated discs, spinal stenosis and sciatica. If I were to point to a main reason for low back injury, my number 1 culprit would be prolonged sitting in faulty spinal alignment (for years and years and years).

The most common injured area in the back is L4-S1 for the following reasons:
1-The Posterior longitudinal ligament is thinner and weaker then the ALL
2-The annulus is weaker posteriorly
3-The discs between L4-S1 are situated more posteriorly and lateral biomechanically

These are the reasons based on the evidenced based research and science that I have learned
