Hi Dror,
The FDA doesn't regulate fitness equipment.
However, it is categorized as fitness equipment.

Hello Dror,
The Food and Drug Administration deals with food safety regulations.
Although, to over think this, if exercise is medicine, it depends on how something is used to define if it is medical or sport equipment.
Take care.

Hi Dror,
TRX stands for "T"otal Body "R"esistance e"X"ercise. As the other have already stated, the FDA in the US does not regulate fitness equipment.

The TRX can be both a sport and medical device.
The TRX provides an option for resistance training, which can be used for either typical exercise or for helping reverse muscular imbalances or strengthen muscles after an injury.
I use a TRX mostly to keeps my client's workouts fresh and different because many traditional exercises can be performed on a TRX.

Hi Dror. Not to 'beat a dead horse,' I think that you now get it that the FDA does not regulate devices. Check with the Patent and Trademark Office if you want more information on the TRX and how it is defined as a device/exercise equipment.
I hope that this helps.
