What is the best way to promote my fitness boot camp?
I run a ladies only fit camp and am always looking for new and better ways to keep my classes full!

First and foremost you must overdeliver your services and produce results in your attendees so that they spread the word. They will become your walking-talking billboard for referrals. This is the best free marketing you can ask for.
Then there are many other ways to fill the spots:
Bring a friend day
Referral specials such as for every person you refer you will receive free classes
Online newsletters sent to your list with useful information to keep people hooked
Hope this helps

Thank you Jude! Meetup.com has been a great source for new Fit Campers for me - I am just continuously looking for avenues to get the word out there. It will work for you in time Susan, just keep it updated and make your page look inviting, exciting - it will begin to pick up!

Social networking sites and creating your own web site can be done inexpensively. Create flyers and leave at health food stoers, exercise and sport retail stores, community bulletin boards, hair & nail salons, city & parks recreation facilities. Send out press releases to local radio, tv & newspapers & mags.
Word of mouth is the best & most effective. If your participants are getting good results they are going to tell their friends.

See if you can find a neighborhood listserv that is popular and active...get recommended on it and have the person recommending say something about your boot camp. I've had great success with this.

Go to your local Chamber of Commerce, get the demographics for your area and drilldown to the pockets of people that fit your need and where you believe you can add the most value to their lives. Connect with other women small business owners via your local Chamber. You may also find there are opportunities to have a referral program set up if you don't already have it presently.

One thing that has worked for me is to have your current boot camp clients recruit for you. I offer discounts for every person they bring and even free camps if they bring enough participants.
Also I try encourage them to put a note on face book after class, just seeing their post keeps others interested and some inquire about the camp.
The other thing that has been successful is to always wear a t-shirt promoting your brand and have other wear the shirt, it is free advertising after the initial cost.
Lastly always be working on increasing your contact email list and stay in contact often.

Google Jim Labadie. He is the go to guy in the industry as far as successful boot camps are concerned.

Our bootcamp is total word of mouth and results.... usually by Facebook.
I am on the Chamber Of Commerce as an Ambassador, I write weekly fitness columns for Pinole Patch but neither have brought me bootcampers.
Give out T shirts with your name on it, put a magnetic sign on your car with your name on it,participate in local business expos/farmers markets, Weight Watchers? You could offer a referral deal which I have not done yet, I am on the fence about it because I think it can weaken the value attached to the program.
Print advertizing did nothing for me.
