Hi Jason,
In my experience, quick weight-loss *rarely* = permanent weight loss because it is a stress to the body, releasing stress hormones. Whether you do it by restricting calories (or fat, or carbs) your body thinks it needs to prepare for a famine and responds by lowering your metabolic rate.
That being said, I know everyone wants to look fabulous on their big day. I'd recommend balancing your meals (protein, wholesome carbs & fats), reducing intake a little, and increasing your workouts somewhat. Cut out all "crap food", and reduce or eliminate alcohol and refined sugar.
Best wishes for a wonderful day!

Hi Jason,
I will preface this with there is no "quick fix" however if your short on time & need to drop weight I suggest limiting sodium intake and eat a balance of nutrient dense complex carb, lean protein and good fat in 5-6 small meals spaced out about 2-3 hours.
Optimally it's how you should eat all the time but it'll work in a pinch. Increase your cardio moderately and/or shake up the cardio by cross training..do something you don't normally:). Do an isotonic workout hitting all the muscles twice a week.
It doesn't hurt to write it (food and workouts) all down. Makes you more "consciously aware" of what your putting in your body. Try not to succumb to the eliminate carbs theory (to lose water) because it can and will backfire on you.
Last but not least cut out all soda/pop and make water your drink of choice. Avoid alcohol. Balance, variety & moderation is the key. Good luck!

The word Diet is a word for eventual failure. To lose weight you need to make the proper lifestyle changes with portion control and moderation. You need to go back to the good old food pyramid and make sure you are getting correct portions of fruits and vegetables and make sure you are getting protein in every meal that you eat. For a realistic and simple way to think about your eating habits is eat healthy 80% of the time. I have had good success with my clients just by using this simple formula.

There is no such best or even good "diet" to lose weight. It's called eating with healthy lifestyle choices: lean meats/protein, lots of veggies (I highly recommend regular veggy juicing), moderate fruit, moderate healthy fats.
& of course regular strength & cardio exercise!

Everyone is on a diet and it is determined by what you eat and drink. To refine you diet (instead of your foods) you should learn about food and how to fight off the marketing and health claims on food products. Start by reducing sugars, refined grains, trans fats, alcohol consumption. Food scales help with portioning. Divide and spread out meals to provide satiety throughout the day!

I would suggest checking your nutrition to make sure your eating a balanced diet. Then start a circuit training routine that include weights to maximize your workout. Also cut out juices, alcohol, and soda.

ITS CALLED HARD WORK AND DEDICATION......QUICK AND FAST loss is AKA for QUICK AND FAST TO PUT BACK ON AND THEN SOME......
IF they want quick and fast, they should find a plastic surgeon.....
But CONSISTENCY AND a STRONG MENTAL FOCUS will surely keep you on track much faster than most.....high protein, low fat, and healthy carb rotations....

The worry with losing weight quickly is that you could lose muscle along with the fat. Because of this, it is difficult to keep the weight off because muscle is your 'furnace'. If you lose muscle, you make your furnace smaller, and you have to eat less in order to maintain your weight. That being said, cut back those carbs, but make sure you get in some daily in order to properly process the proteins that will keep your muscle where it should stay.

No diet will help you lose weight. Eating healthy, paying attention to your body, and being mindful of your portions is the best way to start. Avoid anything processed, all sugar, gluten, and if possible, dairy. Drink a lot of water. Eat organic vegetables. Make sure you eat within an hour of getting up and eat every 2.5-3 hours to avoid extreme hunger.

Eating healthy, regular exercise and good sleep habits. Make sure that you are getting strength training in there to build muscle.
Any client that would ask for quick weight loss, I would have to sit down and have a long talk with them about how to safely lose and maintain the weight loss.

There really isn't a "one size fits all" diet approach in life. Everyone's make up is different an therefore their bodies react differently to the foods they take in, the exercises they do and general lifestyle choices.
That being said, you can always suggest for people to cut the processed foods out of their diets, drink more water and less sugary beverages/juices, and exercise at least 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. It would really be best if they took all sodas out of their diets and possibly alcohol, but moderation is the key. Also a big key to weight loss no matter how you do it is to make sure you are counting calories!

Loosing weight fast....
I don't believe fast weight loss is safe or permanent. Changing your body's comp will not show on the scale as weight loss but with training you will lose inches. All components of fitness will improve to develop a sense of accomplishment and reach your goals!

Metabolic flexibility by Mike Nelson is my favorite and I've researched a lot. I get zero compensation for recommending this so I'm not doing it so that I get commission. Mike understands how to apply research to the body. Below is the link.
