Since my business is multi-faceted, I carry 6-10 personal training clients at a time. That leaves me time for my coaching groups, which number anywhere from 10-30 people at any given time, and for the productions I promote and direct, and time to run the business part of the business.

Hi Jerry,
Groups 7 - 24, but I also do buddy (2) as well as 1-on-1's, so it's kind of hard to say the number if there are groups involved. :p

Hello Jerry,
I focus primarily on a one to one basis and it works well for me. Group Training is a small percent of my business.

Sincerely,
Michael

In my personal training business, I only train one-on-one. I teach MELT courses at my studio for 2 or 3 people at a time. When I teach this course at an affiliated facility, I take up to 8 people.

I also teach MELT and water aerobics as a group exercise instructor, and there are always large groups (at least 10 and sometimes for water over 30).

None at the moment because I work full time for the Air Force doing Fitness Assessments, take classes at two Universities, and have a brand new baby daughter.

Last year I averaged 6 in my one hour boot camp slot, had 2 slots always full for one on one personal training, and had between 5 and 10 slots per month filled with movment assessments and program design for referral clients (this was a two session deal, one for assessment and one for going over the program.

Right now i average between 6-10, but i also do a host of other things in my gym (TRX group classes 5x week, instruct college PE courses, programs, seminars). I find any more than 10 clients at one time will not allow me enough time to focus on good programming, client relations, and detract from my other obligations.
