The failure in not planning or having a goal set period. At the end of the day we must hold ourselves accountable for failure/success!

I couldn't agree more, our goals are not simply something we are trying to achieve they are something we need to plan to achieve. Through planning and execution we find success. Success is a measure of our abilities and inabilites and once our abilities trump over our inablities success occurs but we need not forget not only are our goals mental but physical as well. We need to have harmony on all fronts.

Nothing! When there is something I really want, I identify where I am, where I want to go, and then plot a course how to get there. At the same time, I remain flexible and do not stick to a plan when new information requires a revision.
Noch eine Frage: was muss man machen, um als 'radest dude' bezeichnet zu werden?

For me personally, nothing right now. But when there is something holding me back and same with most of my clients, its fear. Fear of failure. Fear of looking like a fool. Fear of not achieving your goal. Fear of achieving your goal and what that could mean. Its taking a chance to see what could happen and taking that first step to make it real!

Being depressed or feeling sorry for ourselves is a great hindrance. If a client is having an off day, they need to bring the focus away from themselves or whatever is making them sad. Try to focus on something else or even imagine something better than reality, perhaps a different setting or story. Then sync your mind and emotions and let that story or setting become the path to your goal. This requires optimism and creativity from both parties and not everyone will understand this method.

If my goal is specific, measurable, realistic, attainable and time bound I get there. If it is loosey goosey, it is a dream, and not a vision. Visions can pull us towards them, if we have a solid plan.
Visions are also motivating, dreams are just fun distractions, without substance, content and real interests.

I would like to have a translations of Karin's last sentence! The replys given are all excellent. Speaking for me, and perhaps for many, the most significant hinderance is time. How do I find the time to accomplish the goals that I have set? So then it becomes a question of prioritizing. And that is perhaps the biggest challenge. It is a goal in and of itself.
Take care.

I looked at Daniels profile, and he lists German as a language he speaks. He also lists as an accomplishment as having been voted the 'radest dude'. Well; being born and bred German (even though now American), I was curious and asked (eine Frage) what one has to do do be called 'radest dude'?
