If you like tofu, I would recommend trying House Foods brand Tofu Shirataki spaghetti. it has no cholesterol, no sugar, and is gluten-free and vegan. it has Per 4oz serving it's 20 cal, .5 g fat, 15mg sodium, 3g carb (2 fiber/0 sugar), and 1g protein.

Hi Melisa. Try buckwheat soba noodles. Just be sure to read the label for sodium content - some brands are loaded, others are fine.

I use the different types of Shirataki noodles - fettuccini, spaghetti. As stated above, only 20 calories for a 4 oz serving and made with tofu. There are also "miracle noodles" made out of konjac root. I have eaten them on occasion, but they are no match for the shirataki noodles.

If you're looking for something with a crunch, instead of noodles I add small amounts of pecans or walnuts.

If you can find it in your area health food stores, try "Explore Asian" brand 'pasta' made from beans. They offer soybean spaghetti, black bean thin spaghetti and others. They contain about 180 cal. per serving and no fat. The glorious part is each serving gives you about 20 grams of protein. Last week I made a vegie stir fry and topped it on the soybean spaghetti and my husband and son wolfed it down without a clue. It's also a vegan and gluten free food.
