What exercises are best and should be avoided for clients with neck and upper back issues?
I am training a new client who wants to lose weight, she does not want to strenght train, just build muscular endurance, but she has major issues with her neck. any suggestions for a routine. right now we are doing stretching,followed by cardio, followed by low weight high reps on the cable machines without using any overhead pull down type exercises
I wish you could be more specific when you say neck and back issues.
Id say if they have had those you are limited to machines that only work legs. Get them to a therapist or doctor to figure out what is wrong and what is contraindicated in the gym.
