Think it worst idea ever. Think about it a second - If you try one of these "weight loss diets" they are intended to lose weight and you most likely will. However, they are most likely unsafe or at least unhealthy. After you finish you go back to eating your typical foods and you begin the yo-yo effect. Gaining back the weight that you lost after your liquid diet. This is not recommended and is not a healthy way to lose weight.
If you are looking to lose weight do it the real way. Educate yourself on foods that are detrimental to your health. Learn about ingredients and what to cut out. Eliminating foods/ingredients and substituting for healthier options are the long term way to see successful weight loss. It is a proven planned and has worked for myself. If you would like amore elaborate/detailed plan of how to go about this food education weight management feel free to contact me. I am happy to help!

Hello Monica,
I do not believe in a liquid diet for any type of weight loss. This does not promote proper eating habits or balanced nutrition. I takes time to lose wight properly and keep it off. Patience...
Sincerely,
Michael

From my limited perspective, it doesn't seem to teach lifestyle change as far as making healthy food choices are concerned.

It seems very tempting to just get entirely off the food wagon and not be confronted with the demons of food choice. But as my precious answereres stated, this does not teach how to deal with food and the issues around it.
Any diet that restricts calories will help a person lose weight, and there are enough of them out there. But the more restrictive and divorced from reality they are, the more likely is it that the person will regain much, if not all and more, of the weight he has lost because the underlying problems have not been addressed.

I agree with all the above; it's not a good idea. Weight loss is more than just restricting your consumed calories...There are too many other things one must consider before a successful weight reduction program can be created and implemented e.g., exercise, sleep, stress, support (or lack thereof), psychological issues, etc..

remember your body internal organs are made up of smooth muscle and they need food to digest. Liquid will lead to more health issues than dealing being overweight.
Weight loss/fat loss is easy it just takes discipline to say no to foods that we all know are not good for us. Yes they may taste good though if you don't like your body image. Than eat healthy. Find someone that can help you.
simply put eat veggies, proteins, and very clean. Avoid any packaged, processed, refined products out there.
if it wasn't here 10,000 years ago don't eat it.
Anyone can get lean it's just if you want it bad compared to the other garbage. Which one is more important to you.

I would not recommend it. Liquid calories do not keep you feeling as full as actual food. Plus, they do not teach you better eating habits that you can have for long term healthy weight. If it works, it could be a quick fix, with a good chance to regain the weight you loss.

I wouldn't recommended for an extended period. There are times when a juice fast can be beneficial under medical supervision. Check out the documentary "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" for one man's journey to cure his autoimmune disease through a 60 day juice fast. Good documentary.

I too saw the movie "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" but I have to say he was injesting calories that were once in the form of "food" and his point was really great however:
A liquid diet is a reflexion of how impatient our society has become and how "lazy" our society has become when it comes to health
It's all about the quick fix
How about eating real food and daily exercise!!???

Hi. I don't believe in them UNLESS there is a medical reason (provided by a licensed medical professional) for it.
