What are some good ways to bring in more clients?
I'm starting out on my own at a yoga and fitness studio and have a couple clients to start with. I know that i should pick up some clients through the facility itself but I was wondering if anyone had some ways that they advertised or anything to bring more people in.

Id suggest online networking- quick easy and relatively cheap. Get listings on local health groups aids as well. Get in touch with weight loss groups (weight watchers etc) can get your name into the community as well.

Word of mouth is the best!
Participate in Health fairs, Chamber of Commerce events, post flyers at your local schools, doctors offices, write fitness columns for the local paper, get t shirts made up with your logo and wear them out always.
Facebook is great too

Hi Sarah. Referrals from existing clients, friends, family, co-workers etc. I also think that writing is an EXCELLENT way to not only get your name out there, but also to attract new clients. With the internet, nowadays writing for publication (even your own blog) is easy. Also, network with other fitness professionals who are not necessarily in your same field (thus are NOT competitors); you'd be amazed how much cross-referral goes on within the industry.
I hope that this helps! Good luck!

I put together a list of 16 low or no cost efforts in a marketing plan worksheet here. https://www.spartatraining.com/store/index.php?main_page=document_produc...
Among them are:
Create a referral program for incentive for your current clients to refer you more. FREE
Put simple free ads on craigslist, backpage, etc. Use more than one category Advertise a FREE trial workout or a FREE Ebook they can receive for emailing you back. Continue to follow up with your inquiries. FREE
Put your business cards and brochures up in grocery stores or coffee houses with community bulletin boards. Use www.vistaprint.com to produce them. FREE
Call your old clients that have stopped and try to get them back in with a special offer once per month. FREE
Give out gift cards to your clients to give to their friends for a FREE trial workout. FREE
Give out gift cards to your network of business friends to hand out to THEIR clients as gifts. FREE
And a bunch of others. Be creative and use your imagination. Most of all take advantage of your current clients and your network. You can produce a lot with little to no money.

I use direct mail and flyers within a 3 mile radius. Once I start signing up members, always get their emails. Once the members are no longer using the facility anymore, you can use these emails to reach out to them for lower costs memberships to bring them back through your door. Are you planning on using any type of gym management system or billing service for your studio?

I'm actually not the owner of the studio. Basically I'm renting the space from the owner to train clients. He did say that if anyone came in looking for training he would split them between myself and himself. Therefore they don't have a "membership" per say but they just purchase training sessions or classes.

Hello Sarah,
Do some volunteering and join a business group to get your name out there; the word of mouth should get you noticed. Offer a discount to current clients for referrals.
Good luck.

Hey I would suggest listing your facility for free on WorkoutSpots.com that way when users search for yoga studios in their area your gym shows up! They also offer free class registration software and widgets to post the schedule on your website! It's all free! They were recently in shape and self magazine!

Are you offering yoga classes or personal training for a specific niche? Such as prenatal yoga, elderly training classes, mommy and me yoga, etc. if so, research ways you can get in front of these groups in your local areas. Mommy and me groups often welcome people who come in to present a short, free version of their class at their monthly meetings. Church groups often have monthly get togetherness. Talk to doctors offices who ay specialize in your clientele. Offer a free demo of your class to their staff to show what you offer. These are just a examples.
Be sure you have business cards and a short bio available for those you talk to. Practice a quick, two or three sentences, that tell people who you are and what you offer, when they ask you what you do. You never know when you'll meet a new client, so always have business cards ready.
Treat all your current clients like rock stars and they'll be your best advertising!
Good luck!
