Sixteen years ago when I carried my son and attended Lamaze classes prior to giving birth, I found that the breathing exercises were very helpful once labor kicked in.

I had a very active pregnancy and taught classes up until the last month of pregnancy.

I would encourage all healthy pregnant women to continue to engage in physical activity, engage in moderate intensity walking, swimming, resistance training for endurance as opposed to strength and know that there is nothing in the world that can prepare you for labor. 8))
