Style Network's "Wicked Fit"

Business: Personal TrainingPersonal TrainerPersonal TrainingTelevisionGroup FitnessGroup Fitness Classes

Is it just me or does this show, featuring Katie Boyd's Miss Fit Club in Boston, way over the top in portraying how a personal training studio is? In the most recent episode, Katie only considered offering group fitness classes because she was losing clients. But she doesn't want to really offer classes. It really seems like this trainer, Katie Boyd, is all about the money and it's a hot mess. Am I the only crazy one watching this show hoping it gets better?

I haven't seen the show yet but Katie has been referred to as a fitness entrepeneur so surely she is about the money, having found her niche catering to the pageant crowd.

Ugh I just watched a trailer she is horrible. No respect for her assistants. Seems like her training style is to motivate her clients by making fun of their body parts and cracking jokes on them while they work out. I do like the fact that she is training real people and we get to see their side of it. I'm interested to watch now to see why they want to workout with her instead of an everyday, supportive trainer.

I would have never known about this had you not made this post Wendy. Now I remember why I stopped watching television. Its not going to get better so go outside and forget this show ever existed. I have a feeling it won't for long anyhow.

I haven't seen the show, so I might now give it a peak. Could her attitude have anything to do with why she's losing clients??

This ridiculous show is a perfect reason to continue to raise our standards and awareness of what's going on in our industry.

To have a "trainer" out in a bar having cocktails with her staff is less than respectable: along with her obvious lack of training knowledge.

Watched the show! Why would anyone respect a person to train them that has such a crude mouth? If anything they should of highlighted the girls from the "fitness club for woman" as the "stars"! At least they are professional! Good luck t4o ruing your reputation as a trainer katie!

I have tried again and again to watch this thinking it would get better or at least show some sort of new ideas to pull from, very disappointed. The problem I have is that her studio is more then likely going to be really successful just for her fifteen minutes of fame. Does anyone know if she is an IDEA member?? And if not then please IDEA don't accept her or any of the staff as I really don't think their practices are worthy of the IDEA standard
