Question asked by Martha Gottlieb 700 days ago
Need property liability verbiage to use in Twp. contract in order to teach outdoor fitness on Twp. property.
Currently the twp. wants me to take on liability for their negligence in maintaining their property because that is what is in their current contract. I told them I would find out what other twps. had put into their contracts. I feel my liability only extends to what I am covered for in Personal Fitness Liability Insurance. Thanks for the help.

Also a good idea to discuss this with your liability insurance carrier to see what, if any, is the best coverage for this type of added liability that you are being asked to take on. I have taught sports conditioning clinics at local home owners' associations and they often ask for coverage by me for the home owners' association, management company etc.

LaRue is an attorney so I would take his advice. As Shawn also suggests, speak with an attorney who has expertise in this area. Your local bar assoc. will likely be able to put you in touch with an appropriate attorney.
Good luck.

It would be best to consult a lawyer.
