1. Location/accessibility
2. Equipment you require
3. Price
4. Hours of operation
5. Knowledgeable staff (if you need a trainer)
Don't search for a place to workout online, as you'll most likely be spending 2-5 hours a week there to begin with. If you go for the cheapest option, you'll get the cheapest deal. Sometimes it's better to pay a little bit more if you get a better value.
