I know this question was posted way back, but you might want to contact the United States Sports Academy and let them know about your willingness to become a mentor to people who are entering our industry.
Their site is www.ussa.edu and they offer Master's and PhD level degrees. They might be able to connect you with some of their students or graduates. I think it's worth a try.
