VIDEO PROOF OVER 400 LBS!
Here are two videos I did to prove Bosu performance with 3 men from 370-430 lbs.
http://youtu.be/A4ZgZ1w8lJQ
http://youtu.be/E83T6bL3cis
After innovating Bosu Body Circles demonstrated in this YouTube video http://youtu.be/yxZl49J68Ss (submitted Aug 2010 to Douglas Brooks, Bosu Programming Director) I recognized the endless possibility for Bosu usage. Bosus have popped out of the rims occasionally when exposed to summer heat inside my boot camp truck or over-inflation. The amazing fact is that SEVEN of my Bosus are over 5 years old and in use daily outdoors and never a burst yet!
Aside from the durability of Bosu, why not leave this thread by trying Bosu Balance Circles and reply with your thoughts?! Your YouTube response will go right under one from Rodney Corn :-)

There is always a limit. However, I have witnessed 566 lbs hopping happily away on it in my studio. So, its greater than that.

I don't know if there is a weight limit. However, I do know that you can jump on the BOSU. The way I believe that it will get destroyed is if it is stored improperly or if it is pierced by something.

I have a BOSU and I jump on it. I do not remember if there was a weight limit for it. Please be careful having them jumping on it. The only things that I can think that wouls damage the BOSU is it getting puntured, improper storing or improper use of the BOSU.

I have seen the seams of the Bosus loosening and moving out of their anchor rims. I believe that may happen when they are inflated too much. You may want to check for that periodically.

Other than that: HOP ALONG!

By the way: are you worried about the Bosus or about the clients ;-)

For all practical pruposes no. The BOSU is made with a Burst-Resistant material and was designed to be used by professional athletes, some weighing as much as 350lbs or more. Also, the BOSU has a platform that is 25 inches in diameter and it inflates into a hemisphere 12 high when fully inflated. There are other sizes. This is the most common BOSU size found in health clubs.

My Question: Why would you jump on a BOSU ball?

Fuel the movement,

It's fun :-) As long as it is in a safe environment ......

Even standing on a BOSU let alone jumping is going to provide no "functional" benefit to anyone (Unless your training for a circus act). Most people will not perform this type of movement within daily life. Also, many people believe that the BOSU or Stability ball offers a great balance tool which against most peoples thoughts research contradicts this claim. The risk associated with such a task is a lawsuit and negligence case waiting to happen. You are putting the client at risk for an ankle or knee injury and your career in jeopardy. It is not worth the "fun" to put yourself in that situation.

There are two types of Bosu, the professional Bosu is rated at 350lbs and the home Bosu is rated at 300lbs. I have a home version, and while weighing 240lbs, have jumped on it repeatedly without any issues but that is 60lbs under the limit so I never gave it a second thought.

I love jumping on the BOSU and so do my clients! I have used it as a "step" class and facing a pilates tower for balance during the more challenging jumps. It provides an awesome interval bout in a small space. Just a personal tid-bit: I like the feel of jumping on it barefoot better than with a chunky sneaker- seems that it would be better for the fascia at the foot & ankle barefoot as well.

Hi. I too use the BOSU for plyometric exercises like jumping. I'm not sure of the weight limit, but you should probably be able to get that information by contacting BOSU directly or one of their suppliers. BOSU's are definitely a fun piece of equipment to use with my clients!
