Hello Jerry! Yes, I am participating in the ACE Joining Forces Program and I have two clients from it. It is going well. I would advise to add a copy of the military ID to your standard intake forms and make sure that you outline costs up front. While you can donate your time, you may not be able to donate gym space. Work with the service member to find a solution, do not feel that you have to absorb all costs. Donating your time is a great service in and of itself. Since this is a great opportunity for PR, make sure you document the state of the service member when you initially meet as well as the path you took to improve their condition. It is a good idea for them to take their PT test (informally with you) right away and then retest after a certain time period. You need to show tangible benefits if you want anyone to pick up the story. I have already been contacted by ACE's PR team and am working on giving them a story. I hope this helps you!

Great information. Your response has answered a lot of questions that I had about this program.I can see that time and gym space are a hurdle that I am trying to leap over now with a potential client. I am eager to give back, but I didn't want to over stretch myself in the process in order to do so.

I signed up and put the logo on my website but have gotten no response. I have not advertised it other than my site.

Same with me. I signed up, but have not been contacted. I was thinking of reaching out myself to someone in my area who would be eligible and telling them about the program.

I've promoted it on my website, blog and in a local fitness center, but haven't received any clients from it. Any other ideas on where to market the program?

I signed up and I have received one client so far. I pledged a lot of hours so I'm up for waiting.

I too have signed up and have had no response yet. I do think it a great idea and an excellent way to give back.
