NHE is a newer fitness company but they also have collegiate courses at some JCs which are focused around ACLS training. I know a guy at my club who was really into NHE and talked about trying to get a job there. I looked into it too and talked to a few people regarding them and heard great things about their programs. It's tough trying to get hired there because you have to take a couple of exams, which are free of charge, but one is their high end program so you have to be pretty well versed in exercise science. The other one is a psych analysis of sorts. Not a lot of fitness pros have heard of them but the ones who have speak very highly about them. Sorry I don't know much more because I never got around to scheduling my interview because of certain traveling conflicts of mine. Good luck anyway.

Patricia,
I hope you don't spend any money with this organization.
Like you, I've earned my masters degree in exercise science as well as have earned the highest credentials in the clinical exercise industry--ACSM RCEP. I am sure you are familiar with it.
I've spoken to many of stature in the fitness industry and the consensus is the same. They are bogus.
As you have earned your master's degree, you might want to look into becoming an education partner with ACE. It will cost you nothing and you will have the opportunity to put your vast knowledge to work teaching new fitness professionals exercise science. The prerequiste for becoming an educational partner is that you have at least two years experience and a masters degree in exercise science.
Having looked at your credentials you are more than qualified and can affiliate yourself with an organization that is known worldwide with easily recognizable credentials.
Best to you.

Yes. I've taken the EKG course and passed and was offered a position at one of the universities here in NY to teach the course. My schedule did not allow it. I needed to be at the university two evenings during the week.
I will eventually hold EKG courses at my studio as I am a provider through them. My only dilemma is that I have only one EKG machine and it isn't enough when the students need to practice.
Perhaps you can look at employment opportunities at universities to see if they are in need of phlebotomists or ekg technicians to teach courses in their adult continuing education department. This is generally where the NHE courses are held.
Hope this is help to you.

Thank you. I was more interested in hearing about the Freelance Writing positions. I am not too happy about paying for study guides in order to get a job. I never heard of this practice and was a bit concerned.

Melissa, I made a mistake. I thought you were referring to NHA. Pardon me.
This is something you might be interested in looking at www.nhanow.com
I am now familiar with NHE. I don't think that company is legitimate.

Joanne, you're clearly guessing about NHE and really have no idea what you are talking about. Some of my trainers are certified through them and I also accept ACSM and NASM certifications. I researched NHE before deciding to accept their certifications into my club. They have an A rating with the BBB and have affiliate locations all over the country. Their legitimate and their programs are tough to acquire. I can't say they are for you Melissa but my trainers seem to like them. I personally have an NASM cert.
