I'm looking for anchoring solutions for TRX suspension trainers.

TRX Suspension Trainer

I purchased a multi -mount for teaching TRX suspension training and have not found it to be optimal for teaching group classes to music. I have seen another gym use plumbing piping suspended from the ceiling to anchor TRX's so that participants face forward staggered in rows and the instructor is at the font of the room. I have considered an S-frame but still wonder if that would be optimal for instructor visibility. Any ideas?

I attended Fraser Quelch's workshops at the IDEA World Convention and they had between 3 and 5 S-Frames. The workshop was great and Fraser interacted very well with the class.

Have you considered demonstrating the move between exercises. Surely in a TRX class there is a pause for recovery. That might be the time to demonstrate the movement so that your participants have a visual cue and then follow it up with strong verbal cues.

Hope this helps.

I have used a heavy duty hasp mounted on the ceiling. I bought it from one of the big box stores for $12.

I have TRX's mounted in exposed brick as well as from ceiling joists. I have also seen them attached to pipes, but in my opinion without knowing the load bearing capacity of the pipes, this could be a disaster waiting to happen.

Without seeing your specific studio, it is difficult to offer a more distinctive answer. Perhaps checking around some other studios in the neighborhood and seeing what they are doing may be the answer.
