Sweet Potato chips:
Slice sweet potatoes into thin slices, put a small amount of grapeseed oil into a pan. Heat on med-high heat. Carefully place sliced sweet potatoes into the pan. Turn over after 1 1/2-2 min. Should be done in less than 5 min.
Can be lightly salted or sprinkled with cinnamon.

Dried dates. So sweet - but watch the portion control - very high in calories.

Fruits are good for the sweet tooth but beware of some of the fruits because of the sugar level. Even though they are "healthy", some will still give you an insulin spike then crash. Berries are a great choice such as blue berries, strawberries, rasberries.

Craving sweets can be a sign of dehydration. Drink a glass of water.

This is a new favorite I discovered from Dr. Oz; Very healthy high antioxidant snack, but with the dates and avocado, can be high in calories. Blend 3 dates, 1/2- 1 avocado, and 1 -2 tablespoons of cocoa. You can adjust the amounts of ingredients for your taste.

I get a dessert shell fill it with greek yogurt and grill either peaches, pineapples or a mango on my George Foreman grill and place one slice on top. It hits the spot for me.

Sugar free jello is the best alternative when you crave something sweet. No calories and you could even top it with some fruit and cool whip free. Another idea that is both healthy and satisfies a sweet tooth is 1 cup of skim milk with 1-2 tbls chocolate syrup mixed in. Yummy!

Blended frozen fruit. Its like sorbet but better.

Try eating more sweet veggies - like sweet potatoes, carrots, corn, sugar snap peas, etc. - throughout the day. You may find that adding them into your diet reduces your sweet cravings in general.
