Weight training, and cardio have toned up the body, now it is time to build more lean muscle; how many meals/snacks per day should I consume to achieve this?

Actually the many small meals a day thing is a common myth that has been disproven many times. For the most part it doesn't really matter how many meals you eat as long as you're getting enough food to support muscle growth.

Eating 5 to 6 small meals a day is a great strategy to help your body build more lean muscle. Try to space the meals out every 2 to 4 hours. Each meal should have a balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and healthy fats.

I always recommend 5-6 meals per day to keep your energy levels high and to make sure you have enough of the building blocks your body requires both for energy and recovery.
