Hi Dee
I will assume you already have your newbies. Think about what you would like them to learn. write out a syllabus. Review the syllabus with your mentor trainers and/or instructors. Ask them for suggestions. Suggest a shadowing program if it is not brought up. Brainstorm with your pros on hours of shadowing, floor time, or other deemed needed tasks or skills. Design a worksheet that can be checked off by mentors or yourself as newbies complete the learning process. Be creative, share ideas, and design learning outcomes specific to your clients needs, your needs, your mentors' needs and the general population.
Make it a fun experience for all involved.

Hi Dee. I would seek out local fitness facilities that provide the type of training practice that you are interested in. For example, if you want to work in corporate fitness research some local companies who have their own staffed fitness facilities. Once you've identified potential internship sites, contact the Fitness Director or other administrator directly and give them a short bio of yourself, education, interests etc. and ask whether they would be amenable to having an unpaid intern to shadow, perform free assessments, free orientations, help keep the facility clean/orderly, or help in any other way that would allow you "floor time," and the opportunity to work with and learn from other trainers at the facility.
It never hurts to ask, you may be presently surprised by the response you receive.
I hope this helps.

This is something I would love IDEA to add!
It would be great to connect new trainers with "old" ones for internships
I'm looking for someone to shadow me!
