How Can I Drop 10lbs in 1 month - and have fun doing it?!

Weight LossMusicWomen's FitnessCore TrainingDance Sports Conditioning

HoopCore - is a program that I designed in 1998. Elements from skiing, cycling, running and rock climbing are what makes this workout fun. I live in Aspen, CO and travel to host trainings and workshops. Other demographics must rely on indoor classes to get fit. It is my passion to bring the power and playfulness of mountain sports into a gym or in home workout. Dozens have stated that they have lost 10 pounds and 4 inches off their waist in less than 1 month. The routine offers isometric and plyometric moves to simulate the body working at top speeds (like in extreme sports) And to make it easy for the total beginner to learn, I designed a collapsible, padded hoop which is called The Betty Hoop. It is 'Idiot Proof'! The science of the design is explained on my website. Most importantly, I am looking to train athletes and fitness trainers and dance instructors to use my program for their clients.

First thing and sure I won't the first and last person to say this eat a well balanced diet. And then exercise wise interval training is one of the best and probably most effective ways to lose weight. You may ask what interval training is or if the words "interval training" should be defined as fun, but I can tell you this is much funner than going out and jogging every day or riding the bike. You could all so try swimming is another good cardio exercise. But once again interval training is the best way if you want to lose the 10lbs in one month.

I hope this helps.

Hi Sergio. I agree. I created HoopCore when training to hoop while running a 10k. I found interval training perfect for building a strong muscles that fired quickly. I only had 50 days to get in shape for the race. The moves simulate the fluidity, internal timing, muscle and cardio strength that cycling, swimming, running, jumping and yoga provide. It's an all in 1 workout.

In my classes, while waist hooping, students run through an obstacle course with bosu ball, mats, balance board, yoga ball etc. We move the body super slow to fast speeds to condition the muscles to fire at an isolated and integrated way.

My studies show that my program targets digestion and metabolism because the weight and force of the hoop deeply massages the gut, so I guess that's why people can lose weight without changing their diet.

It's interesting because many students of mine lose about 4 inches and 10 lbs the first month of hooping with me. I ask them if they have dieted or changed any lifestyle practice. They have all told me no! That they continue to eat and drink the same as before. I always suggest that a clean diet will support better health and weight loss and muscle/brain function anyway. (for me, I can't get over the craving for German Chocolate Cake)

Hi Debbie -
I have many students and customers in the US and Canada who document their weight loss with me. I ask them a series of questions as to what they do during the month that they lose weight. All of them have stated that they have not changed their diet or taken weight loss pills. They have just used my program. So I trust that this is true.

I've worked with chiropractors and sport trainers and someone from a weight loss clinic. They have told me that the moves I take the clients through target digestion more than many other cross training moves. My focus is to create agility in the ribcage and the hips. This is done by using belly pumps and upper and lower stabilization.

Many clients and customers using my hoop and dvd have dropped 10 pounds in 1 month. I have a series of questions to ask them including if they changed their diet or started taking any diet supplements. They tell me know. They just hooped to my dvd and that using my breathing techniques, belly pumps and upper and lower stabilization moves is what did it.

I also work with chiropractors, sport trainers and a person at a weight loss clinic. They have all told me that my method really isolates the correct muscles groups which would obviously increase the break up of fat deposits and toxins, boosting metabolism.

Athletes who I train state that in the first few sessions, they have over 50% less back pain. Some tell me that they got off their pain pills and that my program works better than a session with their physical therapist.

So I use the real results from real people to base my studies on but I am sure happy to talk with you if you are genuinely interested.

While I agree that hooping is a fun exercise, just about any form of exercise will increase one's metabolism and detoxify the body.

This sounds more like self promotion than a real question

Eating a balance of "real foods" is key to weight loss, along with "cross training" and mixing up workouts, not just a hoops progam.

If a person is over weight enough, losing 10 pound is possible in any progam if they eat well.

Hi. Without commenting on your program, the short answer to your question is that "yes" a person can definitely have fun while losing weight. Find 'activities' that the person enjoys doing or, by introducing fun activities into their routines, I have found that my clients can laugh while losing at the same time.
