Having problems finding quality/ certified instructors in our small area for our growing studio. Any thoughts?
We run a martial arts/ fitness facility approx. 40 miles north of Colmbus , Ohio. While we have a growing clientele for fitness classes finding certified instructors is difficult at best. We have tried newspaper and online advertisments. We have also tried emailing directlty through the certification databases but most dont even respond : ( Any thoughts?

This is a great place to network with quality potential trainers but you could also try professional organizations like LinkedIn.com. I have recently been doing a bit of networking there and have found it to be growing daily. Also, you could put out a radio ad on a popular local station and never neglect the power of a "Help Wanted" type sign... maybe, "Now Accepting Resumes From Professional Certified Instructors", Good Luck. Hope this helps.

I agree with Stephen - FitnessConnect & LinkedIn are great places. Another option to try is healthclubs.com/jobs/ by IHRSA. Good luck!

One of my certifications is by ISSA, and they are active in trying to match jobs with trainers certified through them. I would contact them at www.issaonline.com and see whether they can send a word out for you.

Thank you for the help!

If you are interested in instructors who teach classes like Turbo Kick, Hip Hop Hustle, and PiYo, give Powder Blue Productions a call. They would be able to help you figure out how to get in touch with those certified in your area. They are in Southern California and you can contact them through http://turbokick.com.
