Have you adjusted your personal training prices and packages because of the economy? If so how?
Have you adjusted your personal training packages because of the drop in the economy? If you have, how much did you lower them or what changes did you make?

yes, I added discount packages of 25 or more with a 10% or sometimes 15% discount with a 10 to 12 week expiration and divided the payments per month and it seems to workout well for some of my clients instead of paying per single sessions. But each case is different if it's someone i have been with for many years i work out a payment plan with them or even offer 30min sessions or mini group PT sessions.. Hope that helps abit..

Yes. I have been finding it harder to find clients for one on one training so I have started to do small groups. I can only fit 4 people in my studio so groups are really small and I will start a "class" with only 2 people. But I'd rather start with 2 working up to 4 than having the time without a client.

I didn't have to adjust my prices for the recession because I don't have any set prices. Once I interview them, then I a give them a price.

I have not yet adjusted my individual pricing but I did adjust my hourly rate to accomodate an adjunct group program for a local hospital. I have been hesitant to quote less, first, because it seems unjust to the present clients, and second, I don't value myself less, unfortunately, for me, the consumer may, having less available discretionary funds.

I added small group training discounts and group discounts. This allows me to better leverage my time and provided a cheaper alternative to potential clients. I no longer do this because I don't have the time currently, but it is really effective

I have continued to increase my rates, and have incorporated more small group training which is a win win for everyone. Cheaper for them and I make more per session! Plus the clients all have more fun and seem more excited to be there with their friends or get to make new friends

I've only adjusted my milage charge in accordance with the current standard for my area.

The only adjustment I made was not to INCREASE my rates. I had toyed with that thought but decided against it. I'd rather keep my clients at their current rates than having to go out to find new clients.

No. I find that people will pay for what they feel is important. I provide excellent service to my clients and see no need to adjust my prices.
It is not only my client who is being affected by the economic downturn. It's mostly everyone.

No. If you value what you know and what you are able to do for others, you should not adjust your rates. I have worked with individuals that really needed my help but did not have the funds to afford my normal rates. People in general will find a way to afford your rates if you provide them with professional and consistent service.

I actually raised my rates this year!
