Question asked by Lawrence with Gym Insight 97 days ago
Do you utilize the holidays after Christmas to prompt promotional ideas for your fitness business?
More specifically Valentine's Day, President's Day, and St. Patrick's day...
I know Valentine's Day can be great for encouraging couples to come through your doors with group training classes and personal training packages tailored for two.
Just curious to see if you do utilize any of these holidays for more out of the ordinary promotional ideas and whether or not you have found them successful (both for your clients and to your business)?

Thank you everyone for your responses! I can see there is definitely a consensus here for not using promos outside of Christmas and New Years.

Hi Lawrence,
I do none of the above; come to thing about it, I do not promote my business at all in the sense of doing anything actively to solicit clients. However, that does not mean that I am not very aware that I promote myself in any interaction I have with my existing clients or with people who are in my group exercise classes.

Lawrence, that is not something that I do.
Many of my clients are mature and that type of advertising doesn't really appeal to them. However, you have to do what works for you market.
Best!

Hello Lawrence,
I can also say I do not use these holidays for promos. Primarily, I use Christmas and New Years.

Hi Lawrence,
I do not use these types of promotional ideas either. If you think this is something that you want to try then there is only one way to find out if it works.
Best,
Harris

If bootcamp falls on Valentines Day we let our bootcampers bring their valentines!
Other than that, I don't promote off of the listed holidays.
What I do promote is that exercise is a must even on "holidays"!!

Good idea with allowing bootcampers' valentine's attend for free!
