Do you train or work with tennis players of all ages and levels?
Curious how many of you train tennis players. The way a tennis player should be trained is different to other sports. Are you up to date on the latest evidence-based techniques and standards for improving performance and reducing injuries in tennis players? Visit www.itpa-tennis.org to learn more about the International Tennis Performance Association (ITPA), which offers 3 levels of tennis-specific certification as well as tennis training knowledge and resources. We would love to hear your comments!
I currently train several tennis players of different ages as well as racquetball and squash players and I am also a USRSA Certified Stringer.
Each sport has specific type/s of training regiment/s.
Agility, speed and strength play a key role as well as grip and forearm strength, which I always focus on regardless if my clients are active in sports.
You post a great question!
Thanks for your question.
I applaud the effort that surely went into the creation of the CTPS program. I would also recommend that all trainers and athletes learn and train the foundation movements and stability systems of the body. A sound foundation leads to a stable and capable athlete/person.
