Do you take music requests from your group exercise or cycling participants?

Do you think this just opens a can of worms, or wins over clients?
Sure, it's part of the interactive between the participants and the trainer as well. I'll be glad if i'm one of them =)
Absolutely! Not only does it encourage participants to take an active role in the class, but also gives them one more reason to come to future classes!
I take requests as well and try to find the music my participants like. I teach water aerobics to classical music. I compile the music myself, and people have been telling me that they come - in part - just because they like the music so well. I hope some of it is also my excellent teaching :-)
Often. I really try to make people feel as involved in the class as possible.
When I teach something other than Turbo Kick only because the cues in Turbo are heavily influenced by the music. But I will surely take request when I start teaching other classes!
I do special spin classes that I call "participant picks". I'll poll my students over the course of a few classes and then every 4th Friday I do their song choices. It's really fun! I track who requested the song and then say "here is .... choice" or "... this one's for you", etc. It's interactive and fun!
