I'm currently working with Grassroots Web in Hamburg NY on my website. The owner, Julie used to be a CPT and really understands the fitness industry and the needs/budget constraints of a small buisness owner. she can also help you set up/manage your social media (Twitter, Facebook etc) presence. Her website is www.grassrootsweb.net

Thank you Michael! I think it really helps if someone is/was in the industry and understands what you want. :D

Are you looking for a web designer or to hire a Fitness Professional? I'd love to help but I'm not sure what you're looking for. ;p

I did my own web site, using Serif WebPlus, and I am glad I did. I paid about $70 for the software, and then there is the domain and the hosting but that is not a lot.

I must confess, using the software had a bit of a learning curve, and I uttered many phrases towards my computer not to be repeated in polite company. However, I loved the fact that I acquired an additional skill. I can easily move anything around the way I want. I have nothing too fancy, pretty much just information about myself and what I do. If you want to see the end result, please visit my web site www.meltnc.com.

Building my own site has made me completely independent. Now, that I have acquired the necessary skill, I can create a simple web site in the course of a few hours and have somthing up and running.

Wow Karin!
You learned this by yourself?! I like your site! Its easy on the eye and gives the information needed without having to search for it...Thank you! This is really what I'd like to accomplish as I don't like giving someone 100% access to my website and my not knowing anything about the procedures.

She has moved on to much, much bigger and better things, but this leaves me very vunerable as I don't know how to update/html/blahblahblah it myself. She gave me the software, I still have my domain name, she sent me the disk and my site www.mytaylormadefitness.com is still running but unfortunately I've been un-updated for 2 years and my contact me page doesn't work!

I'll check out the site you gave me and again Thank you my friend! :D

The company I use is called Hostway. They were contracted with Costco at the they designed my website for me.

Although I am happy with them, the only disadvantage I would say is they their customer support is outsourced to Eastern Europe.

I invested alot into my website so I went to a company that only does fitness websites...

Mine has made me 10 times what I paid for it because it comes up in the local searches when clients tell me they were looking for a trainer in the DC area.

http://www.fitnesswebsiteformula.com/ ALL the fitness gurus use them :)

Tell Shingo I said HI :)

Oh, here is my website they did for me.

http://www.dctoughestpersonaltrainer.com/

It also comes with a FREE blog custom designed the same branding as your website :) http://www.livinthefitlife.com/

Good luck with your web design@
