Do yoga teacher training classes cover enough anatomy?
Did you find in your 200 hour (or other style) of yoga teacher training you felt that anatomy and alignment were adequately addressed? Would you have preferred more time dedicated to these topics?

Wow that depends on which of the many many training you take. I have taken several and find that there isnt enough anatomy to suit me, but then I love it. There are other courses you can take to supplement, Like Leslie Kaminoff Yoga anatomy. But the Good courses give you enough to get you started, I think with Yoga its more important to teach & learn 'how' to teach the classes, its very different from other forms of group classes.
I hope that helps

I agree it depends on the school, but if you have been taking yoga and are familiar with the relative terms used for the body, then you should be ok. I always liked learning the anatomy of the body and I try to infuse it in the classes I teach so that it allows my students to be aware of what their body parts are professionally called. But at the same time you don't want to exclude those participants that may be uncomfortable hearing the scientific names, and scare them off.
