Celiac Artery Compression Syndrome
I have a client who is new to personal training, She suffers with something called celiac artery compression syndrome not to be confused with celiac artery disease. I've been in communication with alot of our Drs. Here on site and they are all suggesting surgery based on the findings. Its a very rare syndrome there is a specialist who sees 1-2 of these every few years.
I know adopting a healthy lifestyle will be beneficial to this client to say the least as long as the pain is not exercise induced. One of her Dr. said that yoga could be a potential relief for stretching things out after doing some research its essentially a ligament cutting of the into the artery supply.
Do any of you have any experience in working with CACS? and any suggestions
I do not have experience with this condition.
I would do the same thing you are; keep in close touch with the client's doctors and take their advice.
I would also make sure to send SOAP Notes to the doctor every month to keep them in the loop for the client's visits. How many times do we forget to mention something to the doctor? The doctor will connect all those little dots to help the patient.
Good luck to you and the client.
