CARBS VS. NET CARBS
I'm battling different answers about actual carbs vs. net carbs, and what should be counted towards ones diet. If someone were to start a carb cycling diet, would they be counting actual carbs or net carbs? (just as an example).
Any answers or explanations would be great!
I believe that actual carbs should be counted and if you see net carbs on a label, it may be best to put that product back.
The good whole foods like whole grains, fruits and vegetables are the way to go; no labels or confusion, either.
Net carbs can be ingredients that will upset someone's digestion or give them false ideas of eating limitlessly; think of the fat craze and what that has caused.
As for carb cycling, use as varied a diet as possible to avoid the net carb "problem" questions.
I hope this helps you.
