Can an independent personal trainer, with an in-house business or a private studio, be a silver sneakers provider?

Gao, that depends upon whether there is a need in your area.
I am Silver Sneakers certified, own a fitness studio, however, there is no need in my area. It's unfortunate because the only way to provide the service is to work for another gym
I feel a bit disappointed about this, however, Healthways calls the shots.
Perhaps there will be a need in your area soon.
Best.

Thanks Joanne for responding to all of my questions! I believe there is a great demand for it here, unfortunately no one offers it anymore. A local gym here, before it shut down, used to offer it and a lot of people participated and loved it! There's just not a lot of people supporting it because it's such a small town :(

Crazy how the seniors loved it, but not a lot of the younger adults support it or care about it. Most are into bodybuilding and leave the older population hanging.
