Attention Prenatal Experts
Can intense exercise such as HIIT create a hostile environment that reduces a highly conditioned woman's chances of becoming pregnant? Are there any recognized recommendations for a woman in this situation?

Ryan,
How are you defining prenatal? Prenatal refers to a pregnant woman.
I am understanding you as saying how does HIIT affect the likelihood of a woman conceiving?
If that is what you are asking, there a loads of women athletes who become pregnant even though they are training at an elite level.
Would you clarify please?

Yes, Joanne. You are correct. Wrong term used. The woman is looking to conceive, but is concerned that her high-intensity workouts may prevent it.
Thanks for the clarification.

If a woman is experiencing amenorrhea which can sometimes be linked to intensive training then her ability to conceive can be impacted. I don't know enough to say what that threshold is, but it goes beyond the average or everyday athlete.
