Any recommendations for Pilates certifications in San Francisco?
I am a personal trainer focusing mainly on outdoor fitness - bootcamp classes, private or small group sessions etc. and want to incorporate more Pilates moves into my repertoire. Not looking to work with reformers. Just mat. Thanks!

Hi Sandra, I am a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor and there is a certification center that has Mat only workshops. For more information look at: http://www.stottpilates.com/education/centers/newark.html
Let me know if I can help answer any other questions. You can also add a lot of small props to your Mat offerings for low cost and storage for lots of variety!

Nationally Power Pilates is the top choice. There are a variety of locations and programs to suite your schedule and budget. www.powerpilates.com

Most Pilates certifications will include equipment. The good ones are extensive programs that require lots of hands on training hours and anatomy. This may take you a year or two to complete but is very much worth it.
I found this one online you might want to check out that's in your area: http://www.thecenterstudio.com/education/instructor-training.php
Pilates Pro is another good resource: http://www.pilates-pro.com/directory/
Hope that helps!

Balanced Body education is offered at EHS in SF. Here's a link to the education finder - just select EHS as the educator: https://www.pilates.com/BBAPP/V/education/education-finder.html We also offer lots of Mat and Toys workshops.

I did my comprehensive certification through ITT located at A Body of Work in the Presidio in San Francisco. They have the option of just getting a mat certification if you do not want to do the equipment. The program there is quite thorough and will definitely help you challenge your clients while keeping them safe!
